Since 2010, Àsìkò Art School has grown through deliberate collaboration rather than sponsorship alone. Each partner listed here plays a distinct role in the life of the school — some fund the programme, some host our alumni, some co-author new pedagogic models with us, and some help carry African art criticism further than our classrooms reach.

FAPI Pilot
Helsinki, Finland — Since 2021
A joint research project with the Nordic Studio for Continued Engagement at Rejmyre Art Lab, exploring the socially innovative capacities of site-responsive art practice across Nordic and Pan-African contexts. FAPI has produced joint workshops, publications and a shared pedagogic framework with Àsìkò since 2021.

One of Chicago’s leading contemporary art spaces, Hyde Park Art Centre hosts Àsìkò alumni for international residencies that extend their practice beyond Lagos. Several of our graduates have developed new bodies of work and exhibitions through this exchange.
